Summary
Adept Canadian sharpshooter Ryan Sanders and his unit are forced to take refuge with an village elder while on the run from Taliban fanatics in Afghanistan. Resigned to their fate, the soldiers anxiously wait for the old man to betray them to his countrymen, but instead he saves their lives, then disappears without a trace. When Sanders reports this unusual turn of events on his return to Kandahar, seasoned intelligence officer Pete Mitchell is convinced the sniper has happened upon the legendary Afghan freedom fighter known as the Ghost, and enlists Sanders' aid in tracking the man down once again to assist in the war effort.
