Fabio Quartararo extended his run of pole position qualifications to three in the last couple of outings, while he also set the fastest lap in the latest two races.

However, on both occasions, he has been bested by Australian rider Jack Miller who is recovering from a poor start to begin a surge towards the top of the standings.

Quartararo still leads the championship by a single point over Francesco Bagnaia – who is yet to win a race but has finished on the podium three times in five races.
