After years of chasing, today could finally be the day that Novak Djokovic levels the Grand Slams records of both Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal – with the World No.1 in line to win his 20th major.
The Serbian has looked in imperious form as he's made his way through the draw, most recently defeating Canadian No.10 seed Denis Shapovalov 7-6, 7-5, 7-5 in his semi-final.
But there's still one more obstacle to overcome before Djokovic can make history yet again, as he takes on Italian No.7 seed Mattero Berrettini in the Wimbledon 2021 final.
Berrettini has already enjoyed a fine grass-court season, winning at Queen's Club before Wimbledon 2021 kicked off, and the 25-year-old beat Hubert Hurkacz in four sets in his semi-final.

Djokovic will face Italian No.7 seed Matteo Berritini in the final as he looks to wrap up his sixth Wimbledon title.

It will only be the third time the two players have played each other – and the first time on grass – with Djokovic having won both of their previous encounters, including in the quarter-finals of the recent French Open.

Djokovic was on the opposite side of the Wimbledon draw to rival Roger Federer, and the pair were on course for another epic clash in this year's final, but the Swiss legend was put out by Hubert Hurkacz in a shock semi-final result.
The Serbian world No.1 is hopeful he can draw level with Federer and Rafael Nadal this summer, with Fedal on 20 grand slam wins, and Djokovic just behind on 19.
