Coronation Street fans campaign to Save Rita – see all the top tweets
Corrie viewers would not be happy should our Rita be written out

Coronation Street fans have been left fearing for Rita’s future following upsetting scenes that appeared to show her suffering with memory loss.
Wednesday’s episode of the ITV soap saw Rita set a place at her meal table for the very-much-dead Len, the latest indication that she could well have the early signs of dementia.
However, recent reports pointed to a very different upcoming diagnosis for the Street stalwart. Those anxious about spoilers might want to look away now, but it seems that Rita will be told by doctors that she has a brain tumour. And what’s more – she’s set to reject the idea of emergency surgery.
All of which has left devotees fretting that Rita could be in for a tragic exit from the show, hence a vocal #SaveRita campaign that has sprung up on Twitter.
