Bryce Dallas Howard – Lacie
Who does she play?
The main character in this episode, Lacie is a woman “who lives her life trying to please everyone so that they will give her a good rating,” according to Brooker.
Where have I seen her?
Most recently you’ve seen her as Claire in Jurassic World (she spent the entire film running in high heels) but you may recognise her as snooty town ringleader Hilly Holbrook in The Help. She also played Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s cheating girlfriend in 50/50, and Victoria in the Twilight saga.
Alice Eve – Naomi
Who does she play?
She plays an old friend of Lacie’s who is one of the top ranking people in society.
Where have I seen her?
You probably recognise her from Star Trek Into Darkness as Carol Marcus, daughter of Admiral Alexander Marcus. She also played Molly, the main love interest in She’s Out of My League, and a younger version of Agent O (Emma Thompson’s character) in Men in Black 3.
James Norton – Lacie’s brother
Who does he play?
Norton plays Lacie’s slacker brother who rejects society’s ranking system.
Where have I seen him?
He’s most well know as ex-convict Tommy Lee Royce in Happy Valley, but you may have also seen him as Andrei Bolkonsky in BBC’s War and Peace, and priest Sidney Chambers in ITV’s Grantchester. And yes, he’s putting on that American accent in Black Mirror.
Cherry Jones – The truck driver
Who does she play?
Jones plays the woman with an incredibly low social ranking who encounters Lacie along her way..
Where have I seen her?
Her biggest role was as Police Officer Caroline Paski in the film Signs. She was also in series seven and eight of 24 as Allison Taylor, the first female US president.
Alan Ritchson – Naomi’s new husband
Who does he play?
He plays Naomi’s husband who’s as much obsessed about his social score as his wife.
Where have I seen him?
Ritchson starred as District 1 tribute Gloss in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (the one shot in the temple by Jennifer Lawrence). He’s also starred as superhero Aquaman in Smallville and voices Raphael in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboots.
Sope Dirisu – The man in the cell
Who does he play?
NO SPOILERS
Where have I seen him?
Most likely in Channel 4 robo-drama Humans where he played conscious synth Fred.
