As Benedict Cumberbatch found out this week, there are fans and then there are Japanese cake-making fans.
Touring Japan in order to promote Star Trek: Into Darkness, the Sherlock star received a hysterical welcome and even a Starship Enterprise-shaped cake to celebrate his 37th birthday this Friday.
The cake, which came with a figurine of his villainous character Khan made of icing, appeared to overwhelm the actor, who then proceeded to bite his own head off.
Whether he tasted any good, he sadly didn’t say.
