University Challenge legends Eric Monkman and Bobby Seagull are hosting a BBC Radio 4 show together
What a meeting of minds

Two of the UK's most brilliant minds are uniting for a new BBC Radio 4 documentary – and it's almost too good to be true.
Eric Monkman and Bobby Seagull, rival captains on last year's University Challenge and all-round quiz kings, are joining forces for a new radio documentary in which they attempt to discover whether all their smarts are actually worth anything in the real world.
Monkman and Seagull's Polymathic Adventure will try to find out whether knowing a lot of stuff about different subjects is better than specialising in one particular field – or whether being the ultimate polymath is only useful if you're considering a career in TV quiz shows.

Along the way they will meet all-round intellectual (and fellow former University Challenge contestant) Stephen Fry, who made a career out of knowing a lot of Quite Interesting things.
The new documentary will be broadcast on Monday 21st August at 8.30pm on BBC Radio 4. Hopefully the first of many Monkman-Seagull collaborations...
