Who is confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing 2016?

BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty, DJ Melvin Odoom, sports presenter Ore Oduba, TV star Laura Whitmore, politician Ed Balls and pop star Will Young are among the 15-strong line-up...

Louise Redknapp

Singer Louise Redknapp is the sixth celebrity to join series 14’s line-up. The 41-year-old was in the 90s girl band Eternal after which she pursued a solo career. She was also a judge on So You Think You Can Dance? – so the pressure is on!

“I’ve sung in front of crowds of thousands before but the idea of stepping out onto that famous dance floor with a world class professional dancer gives me butterflies just thinking about it! I’m a big fan of the show and am definitely going to go out there and give it 100% as I want to make my boys proud.” said Louise.

Melvin Odoom

Kiss FM DJ and presenter Melvin Odoom is the fifth celebrity to join series 14’s line-up. The 36-year-old hosts an award winning breakfast show with Rickie Haywood-Williams and Charlie Hedges, and was also the former presenter of The Xtra Factor on ITV2 alongside Rochelle Humes.

“I’m honoured to be part of Strictly 2016! I’m looking forward to learning some new moves of course….but basically it’s the sequins that clinched it for me. I need sparkle in my life and there’s nothing more sparkly that Strictly. I just hope that my dance partner isn’t too tall!” said Melvin, who stands at 5 feet 4 inches tall.
