While Ant Middleton is no longer on the show, he's been replaced by former US Marine Rudy Reyes, who'll be bringing an American twist to this year's season.

Arriving alongside him is fellow American and former Navy Seal Remi Adeleke, who'll be teaming up with existing instructors Jason Fox and Mark Billingham to put the 20 new recruits through their paces in the Jordanian desert.

As the series gets ready to launch, here's everything you need to know about the SAS: Who Dares Wins 2022 instructors.

Rudy Reyes is the new Chief Instructor on the Channel 4 series and not only does he look the part, but he's also done more than enough to prove why he is deserving of the spot.

As well as being a conservationist and a martial arts instructor, he served in the United States Marine Corps in Afghanistan and took part in the Iraq War. Not only that, but he is an actor too and he played himself in the HBO show Generation Kill.

He is also a writer with a book called Hero Living: Seven Strides to Awaken Your Infinite Power, and he models Navy SEAL-founded swimwear - how does this man find the time to sleep?

New instructor Remi Adeleke is the first new addition to Reyes's Directing Staff, and he too is more than equipped to handle whatever situation is thrown his way.

He joined the US Navy and went on to become a Navy Seal - something he excelled at. Outside of the military, he is also an actor and an author and he credits the Navy for turning his life around after "years of making regrettable decisions".

Speaking about joining the team, Adeleke said: “Since I departed from the military in 2016 my main focus in life has been to inspire, motivate and educate people — whether through writing, speaking or visual storytelling."

Foxy has been with Who Dares Wins since its first series, where his extensive military background has come in handy. At 16, he joined the Royal Marines, where he served for 20 years before becoming a member of the Special Boat Service. Throughout his combat career, Foxy has led hostage rescue, counter terrorism and surveillance operations as well as counter narcotic missions.

He left the Special Forces in 2012 after being diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, which he talks about in his autobiography Battle Scars and has since cofounded Rock2Recovery – an organisation which fights against stress in the armed forces.

In addition to Who Dares Wins, Foxy has presented Meet the Drug Lords - Inside the Real Narcos and The Final Mission: Foxy’s War for Channel 4.

Mark 'Billy' Billingham

The ex-soldier, who grew up in the West Midlands, lived an exciting and dangerous life before joining Who Dares Wins. He joined the parachute regiment in 1983 until 1991, when he joined SAS as a Mountain Troop specialist. During his 27 years in the Army, he executed strategic operations, led hostage rescues (for which he received an MBE) and trained in Iraq, Afghanistan, South America and Africa. He was honoured with the Queen's Commendation for Bravery after endangering himself to capture an IRA sniper.

After his time in the military, Billy became a bodyguard for A-List royalty, such as Brad Pitt, Jude Law, Kate Moss and Tom Cruise. After working for Sean Penn, he was given a role in the actor’s 2015 film The Gunman.

SAS: Who Dares Wins 2022 will air on Channel 4 on Sunday 10th April at 9pm. If you’re looking for more to watch check out our TV Guide or visit our dedicated Entertainment hub for the latest news.
