For those uninitiated in the world of Potter, the Death Eaters were the army that lined up alongside evil wizard Lord Voldemort. The Dark Lord surrounded himself with pure-bloods – that’s wizards whose mother and father both come from magical families – and persecuted half-bloods (those with just one parent from a wizarding family) and mudbloods (wizards with no magical heritage).

Pierson is yet to respond to Rowling’s Harry Potter burn, so we’re calling it.
