Remember when Ms Hardbroom blasted Ruby’s headphones out of her ears on her first day at Cackle’s? We’re sure Joanna Dyce will never forget it. She’s not really acting any more but is now quite the dancer, having performed with the likes of Girls Aloud, Taylor Swift and Cliff Richard. You may also have spotted her dancing on X Factor. Not bad for the group’s mad scientist, eh?

Despite Jadu founding the Academy’s in-your-face newspaper The Fairground in later episodes, Brahmbhatt herself has disappeared from the spotlight. She appeared in an episode of Dalziel and Pascoe when Worst Witch was at an end, but that’s the final entry on her acting CV.
