Michael Weatherly is leaving NCIS after 13 seasons
The actor who plays Anthony DiNozzo will depart the show at the end of the current series

After 295 hour-long episodes, Michael Weatherly is calling it a day on American police drama NCIS.
US network CBS confirmed that the current run will be Weatherly's last as Naval Criminal Investigative Service agent Tony DiNozzo and paid tribute to the star: “the immense charm and talent he brings to the screen as 'Very' Special Agent Tony DiNozzo has helped make NCIS what it is today – the No. 1 drama in the world”.
The actor, who has been in the long-running show from its very beginning in 2003, was also quick to show his admiration to his crew, co-stars and character tweeting:
The announcement has led to speculation on how Tony DiNozzo will bow out in his final episode on 19th January, with some fans speculating that his slow-burning relationship with Ziva might finally find a spark.
