A school friend of Simon’s from their Parminster days, Ros kept his secrets in series one but somehow still managed to remain friends with her GP practice colleague Gemma. Will her loyalties be tested again in series two?

Where have you seen her before? Thusitha played Tushura “Tash” Bandara in Holby City and DS Ramani De Costa in The Bill. Other recent credits include Broadchurch and Lewis.

Neil Baker (Adam James) and Anna Baker (Victoria Hamilton)

Accountant Neil couldn’t hide his desire for Gemma in series one and after the pair had an explosive sexual encounter she blackmailed him. He helped her find out everything she needed to know about Simon.

Where have you seen him before? The godson of Jon Pertwee, he is known to Doctor Who fans for his role as Macmillan in the 2009 David Tennant episode Planet of the Dead. He’s also been seen in Channel 4 election drama Coalition with Doctor Foster co-star Bertie Carvell, and popped up in Bartlett’s King Charles III playing the Prime Minister.

Anna was responsible for all the negative reviews on Gemma’s GP profile in season one, but by the end of the series they appeared to have settled their differences

Where have you seen her before? Hamilton’s been kept busy playing The Queen Mother in The Crown of late, which may explain her new pixie crop Doctor Foster hair-do! She also starred in The Game opposite Victoria’s Tom Hughes, and had a fairly large role as Ruby Pratt in Lark Rise to Candleford, among numerous other roles.

Chris Parks (Neil Stuke) and Susie Parks (Sara Stewart)

Kate’s parents, Chris and Susie, were completely blindsided by her affair with Simon, who had actually been working with Chris. The four seem to have managed to reconcile their differences, but is the drama really over for the Parks family?

Where have you seen him before? Stuke made multiple appearances in legendary procedural The Bill between 1991 and 2007 in which he played no fewer than five separate characters. Elsewhere he has been a regular in Game On and legal drama Silk, appeared in last year’s Paranoid and has also had guest roles in Death in Paradise and The Interceptor amongst many others. He was also once a contestant on Celebrity Masterchef.
