Poldark aired its final episode and everyone had a LOT of feelings
Demelza and Ross's reunion! Caroline and Dwight's engagement! George Warleggan's brush with an angry mob! So much to discuss...

Poldark came to a crashing finish last night as the Aidan Turner series aired the final episode of its current series and gave all us anxious fans a bit of closure on the Ross and Demelza impasse.
***SPOILER ALERT***
They kissed and made up, but not before Ross had done some serious grovelling after that night with Elizabeth. Damn right, too – viewers were adamant Demelza deserved better…
For I'm fierce and proud and steadfast and true. An' I'll not settle for second best. Demelza #Poldark ❤️

'My idiocy has been spectacular.'
And I can hear the cries of 'too f***ing right' from here. #Poldark— Naughty Poldark (@50ShadesPoldark) November 6, 2016
Twitter was shouting its praise for Eleanor Tomlinson from the rooftops. Give that woman all the awards.
Give all the awards to Eleanor Tomlinson, her portrayal of Demelza is perfectly layered and nuanced … #Poldark

And as Demelza finally came face-to-face with ‘the other woman’…

… some viewers were inspired to turn poets.

But theirs wasn’t the only drama with Ross redeeming himself somewhat by facilitating Dwight and Caroline’s reunion – a move which prompted yet more #PoldarkPoetry…
Caroline tells Ross he's mistaken
And that she won't be wed
She tries to explain her feelings
For Dwight, & why she fled#Poldark— Jo Cooper (@jojocooper568) November 6, 2016
And plenty of warm, fuzzy feelings.
The moment Dwight turns around to see Caroline has to be one of the best moments of both series ? #Poldark @PoldarkTV

Elsewhere, George Warleggan’s draconian method of keeping out trespassers reminded us all of someone familiar…
"I'm gonna build a fence around Trenwith. And I gotta tell you folks, it's gonna be a great fence. A GREAT fence. "

But he got his comeuppance thanks to Ross’s fist and a brigade of angry villagers.

And as the episode ended, we got an exciting first look at what’s to come when Poldark returns (hint: Demelza’s strapping brothers ??)

But as we bid farewell to Nampara and Trenwith for the foreseeable future, Jud Paynter’s words rang in our ears.
#Poldark has ended.
T'aint right, t'aint fair, t'aint fittin.
