Behind the scenes of Tracy-Ann Oberman’s sultry Mrs Robinson photo shoot

The former EastEnder, who is playing Mrs Robinson in a new radio play, channels Anne Bancroft's character from The Graduate in a shoot for Radio Times magazine

Soap star, comedy actress and writer Tracy-Ann Oberman is poised to play “the first cougar” – Anne Bancroft’s Mrs Robinson from Oscar-winning movie The Graduate – in a play on Radio 4. A play that she wrote herself.

The former EastEnder is no stranger to radio having starred in around 600 shows since 1995, but this one is special to her: “Inside me and all the people I love, we are all Ben Braddocks [the Graduate of the title]. We are all on the outside, looking in. And we are all trying to find our place.”

It being radio, there’s little need for costume, hair or makeup, but Radio Times magazine transformed Oberman nevertheless for a sulty, sexy – and rather smoky – photo shoot…

Mrs Robinson, I Presume is on Friday 23rd April at 2:15pm on BBC Radio 4
