Forget the dramatic Poldark performances, Aidan Turner’s windswept hair was the real star
Yeah, yeah romantic saga and wild landscapes are all very well, but it was those tousled locks that went down a storm on Twitter...
Aidan Turner, the Cornish landscape and a romantic period saga. The BBC remake of 1970s classic Poldark sounded like a winning formula from the off, but little did we know that the star of the new series would be a dramatic head of windswept hair.
As Being Human and The Hobbit star Turner donned a white shirt and britches to gallop across Cornwall, it was his barnet that really got Twitter talking. Besides the dramatic storyline and moving performances, of course…
The first episode went down well…

I think the real star of #Poldark was Aidan Turner’s perfectly tousled locks, maybe pic.twitter.com/OP3enAzpJl

And in case you wanted a clear, scientific judgment on the success of Aidan Turner’s hair…
#Poldark Hair: 10/10. Scar: 3/10.
