Detectorists has won not one, but two BAFTAs, and fans of the BBC4 comedy were delighted to discover it had been commissioned for a second series as well as a one-off Christmas episode.
Was this festive escapade the right mix of heart-warming and hilarious? Much has been made of Crook’s script writing abilities in the previous two series, but was Lance’s somewhat off-piste plot in keeping with the show so far?
