New Silicon Valley season 2 trailer rolls hard as a motherboard

The computer programmer comedy returns April 12th in America

Nerds are the new rap stars. At least, that’s what the trailer for series two of Silicon Valley seems to imply.

Coming straight outta Comp-Sci, the promo features Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Zach Wood, Kumail Nanjiani and Martin Starr getting crunked at optimal efficiency. It’s got swearing, drugs and coasters in it, so be warned.

The song is Smokin’ & Drinkin’ by Danny Brown, if you’re wondering.

Co-created by Mike Judge, the man behind Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill, Silicon Valley is a hilarious look inside the world of tech start-ups. Their algorithims make millions, but the young entrepreneurs are an odd bunch, to say the least.

The trailer doesn’t reveal the plot of series two, but gets across the heady mix of energy drinks, coding and malformed males that made the first series such a treat. It’s essentially The Social Network as a sitcom and, unlike the warm-hearted Big Bang Theory, takes a bracingly cynical view of nerd culture.
