Review

Sandra and her Ucos pals come over all lyrical this week when they re-open a case in which “the most exciting poetic prospect of the new millennium” was brutally murdered and then set on fire. His remains were discovered in the yard of a drug smuggler who wasn’t charged with murder but imprisoned on drug smuggling offences.

With all the rhyming couplets and flowery references swirling about, Brian’s in his element. Unlike the boorish Gerry who proudly declares he’s taking an administrative role in the investigation because he’s “allergic to poetry”. Until he discovers that verse can be a powerful aphrodisiac, that is.
