Episode 3: If You Love Me, Why Am I Dyin'?

Summary

Sookie tries to take care of Eric, who appears to have lost 1,000 years of memories as a result of Marnie's spell. Desperate for help, the well-meaning waitress turns to Alcide, but gets a shock when she visits his home. Meanwhile, Bill punishes an errant vampire and gives advice to a guilt-ridden Jessica, and Pam tries to settle her master's business with Lafayette.

Review

How do you solve a problem like Eric Northman? He’s lost his mojo, is looking all hangdog, and even apologises when his fangs pop out when he’s close to Sookie. Frankly, he’s vulnerable. How handy, then, that he’s got a cubbyhole in Sookie’s cellar.Which is something poor Jason could do with. Instead he’s being ravaged by Crystal and her hillbilly panther clan.

After the choppy previous episode, this one, written by creator Alan Ball, is more tightly focused. But you know it’s an upside-down world when Bill orders the true death of one vampire while Sam’s little bro Tommy is having reading lessons from Maxine.
