Spain v Sweden

Summary

Spain v Sweden (Kick-off 8.00pm). Gary Lineker presents coverage of both sides' opening game in Group E, which comes from Estadio La Cartuja in Seville. Three-time champions Spain will enter this tournament as one of the favourites to go all the way, given their rich history and world-class players at their disposal, although their recent displays in major finals have left a lot to be desired. Barcelona veteran Sergio Busquets was due to lead his country this time around, in the absence of Spain's all-time record appearance holder Sergio Ramos, but the midfielder tested positive for Covid just over a week ago, throwing manager Luis Enrique's plans into chaos. Sweden haven't made it past the group stage at the European Championship since 2004, and finished bottom of their pool at Euro 2016, failing to win a single game. Alan Shearer, Rio Ferdinand and Cesc Fabregas provide analysis, with commentary from Steve Bower and Danny Murphy.
