Review

Jon’s libido – or, at least, the sitcom version of it – is under scrutiny, with wife Lucy claiming that “he can’t be intimate”. Mind you, the old misanthrope isn’t doing himself any favours when he states that Lucy’s irritating habits, such as leaving bits of carrot in the margarine tub, put him off the idea of having sex.

To spice things up, the pair attempt to spend a romantic night together but, needless to say, there are complications on the journey from the sofa to the B&B where they’re intending to stay. As cringe comedy goes, it has its moments, but one or two scenarios feel a little too outrageous to have really been captured by a documentary team.
