Episode 3: Dragons' Den

Summary

A Scottish dog lover showcases a range of natural doggie treats, hoping Dragons Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Tej Lalvani, Sara Davies and Touker Suleyman will throw her a financial bone. Others braving the heat of the Den include a beauty entrepreneur with her range of affordable-yet-luxury waterless face oils and a Northumbrian inventor hoping to demonstrate his nifty construction bracket. Plus, a tech entrepreneur is put through her paces when she showcases fitness app aimed solely at women. Presented by Evan Davis.

Review

Sometimes the Den gives you a catchphrase to use around the house in the days to come. Tonight’s instalment will give you a stance. You’ll know it when you see it, and you’ll be standing like that whenever you’re waiting for the kettle to boil until next Tuesday at least.

As for the hungry fledgeling businesses, the quintet of Dragons are asked to wave their wads at natural dog treats, natural person treats in the form of organic beauty products, a gin that’s bafflingly expensive to manufacture, and the product that, out of all of them, you suspect might be everywhere in ten years’ time – but if it is, surely it won’t still be known as “Wang-a-Flange”.
