It’s time to add another police acronym to your list, if you’re not already overwhelmed by the jargon on Line of Duty. North Yorkshire Police road policing officer Emma Bainbridge thinks she may have to undertake a TPAC – a tactical pursuit and containment – but it’s not going to be easy, as she’s looking for a black Audi, at night, on the A1. It’s not all high-speed action for Bainbridge – another night brings an entirely different, four-legged obstacle to contend with. “Oh my god, it’s looking at me,” frets a colleague.
