Summary

Coast to coast, from Manhattan Island to Manhattan Beach, there's nobody who compares to Larry David when it comes to speaking one's mind, no matter the cost or consequences. That will be hysterically self-evident when the new season of HBO's hit comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm comes to DVD.

Episode 10: Larry v Michael J Fox

Summary

Larry clashes with his new neighbour, Back to the Future star Michael J Fox, and purchases an ill-advised present for Jennifer's son Greg. Meanwhile, Susie is unimpressed by Jeff's level of devotion to her. With New York mayor Michael Bloomberg and The Daily Show's Aasif Mandvi.

Review

It may be the last episode of the eighth season but Curb still finds new boundaries to push. And it’s not always a comfortable watch. Larry is vexed by upstairs neighbour Michael J Fox — a shadow of his Back to the Future self after two decades with Parkinson’s disease, but clearly game for a laugh. His clomping about is keeping Larry awake at night and he says things like “I’ll be back in two shakes.” Larry rages, “He’s using the Parkinson’s to do whatever he wants!”

Larry also meets his lover’s swishy seven-year-old son. Only Larry can see that Greg is as gay as a goose, so he gives the kid a sewing machine and, inadvertently, a fixation with swastikas.
