Episode 6: We Hunt Together

Summary

It looks like the end of the road for Freddy and Baba, trapped in a remote cottage by Lola, Jackson and a squad of armed response officers. With the trail behind them strewn with bodies, it seems unlikely they will escape the reckoning. Psychological thriller, starring Eve Myles and Babou Ceesay.

Review

Gaby Hull’s appealingly strange murder serial ends tonight, and we still don’t feel sure about beautiful, murderous Freddy (Hermione Corfield). Is she a Villanelle-style killer, charming but lethal, or a traumatised sex worker looking for redemption? Is she using former child-soldier Baba (Dipo Ola) or does she love him? And how many slightly over-heated dialogue scenes will we need to sit through to get to the answers?

As our romantic serial killers head for Freddy’s old boarding school for a reunion with her creepy teacher (Kris Marshall), the excellent cop partners (Babou Ceesay and Eve Myles) are on their tail. Let’s hope it’s not their last case – this has legs.
