Summary

Greg Davies returns with series six of Taskmaster. Still resolutely attached to Greg's apron strings is Alex Horne, and he'll provide key stats and analysis as five fresh new faces - Alice Levine, Asim Chaudhry, Liza Tarbuck, Russell Howard and Tim Vine - tackle the Taskmaster's weird whims.

Episode 10: He Was a Different Man

Summary

Russell Howard invents sticky tape architecture, Tim Vine attempts a risky impersonation and Alex Horne receives a gift from Liza Tarbuck, before the winner is revealed.

Review

The vital spark in making a show like Taskmaster work (or not) is often hard to pin down. It’s about the general vibe, the sense you get watching that the people involved on a panel of presenters and comedians aren’t going through the motions because their agent got them a good fee, they’re actually enjoying themselves. And if they are, we will, too.

That’s where this run of Taskmaster has been a triumph. Even on those (rare) moments when the task feels a bit lacklustre, the chemistry between Greg Davies on his golden throne judging their efforts and the contestants arguing the toss, is a cheering, happy thing.

For the final the quintet contend with skittles (knocking down as few as possible), candles (blowing one out from as far away as possible) and expressing their love for Greg. Tim Vine dressing as Greg’s mum is definitely a highlight.
