Review

A heartbreaking case for the purple brigade to help resolve this week. Youngsters Deago and Ameira lost their mother Crystal when she was only 32 after a sudden cancer diagnosis. Now they’re having to share a tiny bedroom with their grandmother Sandra at her small house in West Bromwich near Birmingham, which is also home to her son Ziggy. Crystal’s death was very quick, and the family are struggling to cope with the practicalities, as well as their grief and the change of circumstances.

It’s a real task for the team – they have nine days to give the Chambers family the space they need for their new life. But they’re not alone; they’ve got some 300 local tradespeople to help – heaven knows where they’re all going to go…
