Mary, Mel & Sue's Big Christmas Thank You

  • Documentary

Summary

Former Bake-Off stars Mary Berry, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins reunite to prepare a festive surprise for some hard-working volunteers at a community centre in a South Wales town. The area has experienced hard times, with the closure of the school and post office, and the centre has become a vital source of support for residents. The trio not only throw a party for the volunteers who have made the centre a success, but also make a lasting contribution by giving the building a much-needed renovation.

Paul Hollywood’s gamble paid off when The Great British Bake Off enjoyed continued success on Channel 4 but will Mary Berry, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins’s decision to stick with the BBC prove just as fruitful?

The GBBO trio are reunited on our TV screens for the first time to bring festive magic to a group of people in South Wales, who have rallied together to build a community centre in an area that’s struggled through tough times.

Mary is making Christmas dinner (of course) while Mel and Sue take care of the party and give the community centre a facelift. It all sounds rather DIY SOS meets GBB-HO-HO-HO.
