Review

The Bishop of Hereford ascends to the skies when a new, £265,000 church roof needs blessing and its vicar suggests a hands-on approach.

Elsewhere, Rev Nicholas visits a couple in the Black Mountains who are forced to vacate their farm and don’t know where they’ll be living. And homelessless is a theme that runs, movingly, through the programme. Newly ordained curate Matthew visits a woman who has pitched a tent on a Hereford roundabout – Sam has been served with an eviction notice, and Matthew is determined to find her shelter.

Tearful Sam, with no access to her children, says, “Why are people so quick to judge?” A question we all need to answer.
