Summary

A young woman's body is recovered from the bottom of a creek, and it transpires she had recently had an abortion - an illegal operation in 1890s Toronto. Murdoch and Julia's fledgling relationship is placed under strain by an argument concerning termination, and the detective nearly loses his objectivity while seeking those responsible for the victim's death.
