These real-life rescues are proving as popular as ever, with viewers apparently never tiring of watching the emergency services going about their challenging and courageous work.

In this edition a Lockerbie team rushes to a village to treat a woman who is struggling to breathe. Meanwhile, a team of traffic cops and paramedics work together after three cars collide on a motorway, and the Royal Navy Search and Rescue helicopter crew negotiate their way around 100ft trees and a giant mast to help an injured lumberjack in a remote area of woodland.
