Murdoch Mysteries

Twentieth-Century Murdoch

Series 5 - Episode 13 Twentieth-Century Murdoch

Uh-oh, it’s a Christmas episode broadcasting in September, something that’s always hard to adjust to. But, as it turns out, fake snow and carolling is the least of our problems. Because this is the most bonkers episode of Murdoch Mysteries I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen the one where Winston Churchill becomes the prime suspect in a murder case). Here, the plot centres on a man who claims to have seen the future and is determined to prevent a killing. Yes, it’s Ye Olde Minority Report.

Before long, Murdoch is in a time machine, witnessing himself in 1912 married to Julia and playing with their son. And I’m not even joking.

Gideon Turner escapes custody and prevents a man from being killed on the street, saying he knew what to do as he had earlier travelled to the future. He also suggests he is able to use the same technique to prevent crimes. However, Murdoch is dubious about the claims. Drama, starring Yannick Bisson.
