Review

A leery little 11-year-old geezer turns up at the Hustlers’ bar; he’s Ash’s godson and a perfect con-artist in miniature; clever, plausible and cheeky. He could be a brat, but he’s a lovable little tyke, played with considerable charm by smashing young Sammy Williams (Attack the Block).

The kid hangs around, being a nuisance, as the gang takes down a disgraced ex-TV game show host turned crooked property developer (Mark Williams). They want revenge after he destroys sentimental Albert’s favourite watering hole, and appeal to the bad guy’s long-buried sense of grievance by persuading him to broker a deal involving the sale of some TV studios.

Summary

The con artists target a 1980s game show host-turned-property tycoon whose ruthlessness knows no bounds, having demolished one of Albert's favourite old haunts. To pay him back, the grifters pose as international businessmen and persuade him to buy the TV studios that fired him in his showbiz heyday. But the arrival of Ash's 11-year-old godson, himself an aspiring hustler, threatens to throw a spanner in the works. Mark Williams (The Fast Show, Harry Potter) guest stars.
