Dancing on Ice

Review

This series of Dancing on Ice really needs to be renamed Dropping like Flies. A combination of injuries and a positive Covid test have – at the time of writing – forced Denise Van Outen, Billie Shepherd and Rufus Hound all to withdraw from the show.

Last-minute replacements arrived in the form of Olympic gymnast Amy Tinkler and comedian Matt Richardson – who didn’t even get five minutes of fame before being voted off in the same week he arrived. If you blinked, you probably missed him.

This week, if there are any contestants left by this point to participate, this will be Movie Week – although they’ll no doubt be swerving routines inspired by Armageddon or The Poseidon Adventure. There’s been more than enough disaster already.

Summary

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby welcome the remaining celebrities and their professional partners as they take on Movie Week. Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean head up the ice panel, alongside Ashley Banjo and John Barrowman. Plus, there is a performance from some of the professional skaters. Postponed from Sunday 21 February.
