Review

Fred Sirieix and team (plus a new waiter) are now operating out of a Manchester restaurant but the blind date format remains absolutely the same, even though it feels odd seeing strangers getting up close and personal without wearing a face mask.

Stepping into the restaurant is parliamentary assistant Jessie, who needs a man to be challenging, former roadie Winston who likes to make ladies happy, and Lithuanian spa therapist Kristina who wants someone mature to start a family with. Then there’s Alan, who wants a “hus-bear” (hairy, cuddly and keen to be married). Steve ticks all the boxes except – what are the chances? - they already know each other ... rather well.

Summary

A parliamentary assistant fears talking politics scares men away, but may have met her match in an outspoken journalist. A 69-year-old former roadie is looking for someone to settle down with after surviving cancer, while a Lithuanian spa therapist searches for an older man who she can start a family with.
