Series 10 - Episode 2

Review

“Knackered,” is how George Clarke describes a dilapidated Victorian circus wagon that’s set for a renovation job by master craftsman Paul. For once, this is an understatement from our host, as what we see initially is more rot and rust than wagon. And what’s more, Paul is hampered by a non-existent budget and a diagnosis of muscular dystrophy. So, is a makeover even physically possible?

Progress is definitely being made, though, on the home observatory project we glimpsed last week, but new challenges are now being piled onto the shoulders of designer Will Hardie. George’s fresh tasks are issued with a gleeful grin but are met with a rictus smile from Will.

Summary

The architect meets master craftsman Paul, who has muscular dystrophy and is saving a Victorian circus wagon. George also finds out about a grain store being re-imagined as a festival bar, discovers a small hotel disguised as a tree and a camping pod that looks like a giant conker.
