Review

Former Cantii prince Phelan (Julian Rhind-Tutt) is in North Britannia, living in a rather lovely little community, living under an assumed name with a nice pregnant wife. It’s a simple life of dancing round maypoles and selling his livestock at market. So far, there are no Romans in sight.

But Rolph, as he is now known, gets a heck of a shock one particular market day, and he does some very unwise shopping that alters the course of his life. He must fulfil his destiny! Which doesn’t go down well with his wife’s angry brothers.

There’s possibly one too many severed heads in another barmy episode of this absorbingly bonkers slice of bloody early British history.
