Review

Like my colleague Jack Seale last week, the many hours I’ve wasted watching a particularly low-brow piece of television won me a few points in the sequences round in this tremendous contest between the Journeymen and the Turophiles. Sadly, that was as far as it went. But still, I feel smug.

It’s a swift and exciting battle of wills with both teams wasting no time in buzzing, and the connecting walls are so frenetic one team member briefly cautions her over-enthusiastic captain when he’s all set to burst forth on the buzzer. “Don’t!” she cautions. “I’m not!” comes the reply.

The week’s added bonus from Victoria Coren Mitchell is a fun fact about a First Lady.

Summary

Victoria Coren Mitchell hosts another first-round match as transit fans the Journeymen take on cheese-lovers the Turophiles. The teams must use patience, lateral thinking and sheer inspiration to make connections between four things that may appear at first not to be linked, with one set of clues consisting of charge and release, band and break up, locate and move out of position, and courage and deter.
