Comedians Giving Lectures

This is Live at the Apollo crossed with Ted Talks as Sara Pascoe introduces a trio of comics who are asked to give their take on already established lecture topics. The results are lively and inventive: Nish Kumar makes a terrific Brexit joke that amazingly hasn’t dated in the time since the recording, Tom Allen reveals his unlikely obsession with Denise Van Outen and Natasia Demetriou is so uproariously filthy that I can’t mention anything she says (her subject matter is “The Anatomy of the Vagina”).

The only moments of cringe come when Pascoe seeks feedback from professional lecturers, all of whom attempt to be as funny as the acts. They generally don’t succeed.
