Our five comics devise new ways to help Alex Horne make the Taskmaster's breakfast. Plus: former series champion Kerry Godliman makes a dramatic return.
Review
Boiling an egg so that it has just the right consistency of dippiness is one of life’s tribulations, but a few of the Taskmaster comedians might have, quite literally, cracked it. A task tonight requires them to devise a method of ensuring an egg is “runny, but not too runny” without using a timer. Some of the incredibly unconventional methods deployed seem to yield rather dependable results.
There’s also a bit of double-taking going on as Katy Wix is notably absent from the studio. She’s been taken ill (Greg Davies says she’ll be back “later in the series”) and her seat is taken by series seven winner Kerry Godliman, who’s left attempting to analyse Katy’s efforts in the task VTs.
