Review

Two teenage paddleboarders are pulled from the sea at Rhyl in North Wales. The girls have been in the water for 30 minutes and are in a critical condition. If you need your faith in humanity restoring, what happens next should do the trick as personnel from the coastguard, the police, the lifeboat and lifeguards give emergency aid as they wait for paramedics.

The girls are hypothermic and shivering uncontrollably. As everyone tries to ensure they are warmed up with piles of blankets and coats, frightened near-drowning victim Tyler asks, “Am I going to die?” It’s a stirring episode that also includes the rescue of an 80-year-old man after he falls on rocks.

Summary

On the east coast of Scotland, volunteers from Dunbar race to save three children trapped in a cave by rising tides, while in the west, the Tobermory crew comes to the aid of a yacht caught in a storm and being forced onto the rocks. In England, the Blyth crew searches for an 80-year-old man who has gone missing after leaving home to look for lobsters on the coast.
