Series 8 - Episode 1 Hello

Watching The Chase star Paul Sinha wandering aimlessly around in circles wearing a dressing gown and shouting “hello” 64 times would, in any other situation, be cause for alarm. But on Taskmaster, this is not only completely normal but also brilliantly entertaining.

Faithful fans of the deliciously daft show will be welcoming series eight with open arms, while the uninitiated should familiarise themselves pronto with the unabashed silliness of seeing comedians look like wallies on this anti-panel show of mini-games featuring – in this episode – putrid smells, baby monitors and an inexplicably tense game of hide and seek.

Taskmaster Greg Davies reunites with “little” Alex Horne to taunt Sinha alongside Car Share’s Sian Gibson, The Inbetweeners’ Joe Thomas, Love Island narrator Iain Stirling and comedian Lou Sanders with imaginative tasks that cause even the most uptight (Thomas) to lose their inhibitions. “Who says this show compromises your dignity?” chuckles Davies sarcastically – and he’s right. No other TV show makes the jeopardy of losing self-respect quite so funny.

Five new contestants - Iain Stirling, Joe Thomas, Lou Sanders, Paul Sinha and Sian Gibson - complete tasks under the watchful eye of Greg Davies and Alex Horne.
