Review

It would be easy to dismiss this particular encounter as fake news, but in the 1980s Donald Trump and Andy Warhol met on multiple occasions – once when the now-US President was holding cheerleader auditions at Trump Tower for his newly acquired American football team. He invited a celebrity panel, and Warhol took up his offer largely, it seems, for the opportunity to challenge Trump over failing to pay for artwork he’d commissioned. This episode captures that farcical encounter.

Along with a great soundtrack, Anthony Atamanuik – a comedian known for his impressions of Trump – has him absolutely down pat, perfectly delivering Trumpian lines such as: “I certainly don’t remember it that way, but I guess we’ll never know” with a believability that’s beyond parody.
