Review

The One Show’s Alex Jones is always good value on this show, even managing to top Lee Mack with her quick responses on occasion. However, it’s her sudden and lengthy silence as she reconsiders what she was about to say during a Stacey Dooley story (that she once shivered her mini skirt off) that cracks up the guests on both panels.

As always, Henning Wehn gets a lot of comedy mileage from his German-ness (and it’s very effective that his eyes water when he recalls how he used to hunt onions rather than chocolate eggs at Easter) while host Rob Brydon has an absolute field day doing different accents.

Summary

Documentary-maker and reigning Strictly champion Stacey Dooley, presenter Alex Jones, comedian and musician Rachel Parris and stand-up comic Henning Wehn join host Rob Brydon and regular captains David Mitchell and Lee Mack on the comedy panel show. As ever, the participants aim to hoodwink their opponents with absurd facts and plausible lies about themselves in a bid to secure a team victory.
