It’s the sports quiz’s Christmas party so, obviously, that means it’s time to play a charity cricket match. In the normal run of things the programme doesn’t let Jamie Redknapp or Andrew Flintoff display their international credentials too often, but there’s a chance for Freddie to do that here as he leads an all-star sport/celebrity team – featuring Ben Foden, Amy Williams, Danny Jones, Helen Skelton and AP McCoy – against a hardened cricketing XI with a line-up boasting Steve Harmison, Jimmy Anderson and, er, David Seaman.

Rob Beckett puts in a surprising performance, Kriss Akabusi is involved in some capacity, and of course James Corden has somehow got time off from hosting his US talk show. Expect it to be as cerebral and understated as ALOTO usually is.

Summary

The regulars team up with a host of stars for a fun-packed Christmas charity cricket match, with AP McCoy, Jimmy Anderson, Steve Harmison and David Seaman among the players.
