Review

The life-affirming hospital series rolls on. As so often, a key patient this week is a teenager in peril. Sixteen-year-old George has been rushed to A&E with a bleed on the brain. We hear from his dad about George's early life and learn how the two of them bonded over George's passion for football and love of the great outdoors.

CT scans reveal that George’s bleed will require emergency brain surgery, and as his dad, brother and step-mum support him at his bedside, we learn how their blended family came together.

Meanwhile, in paediatrics, ten-year-old Kezia has an injured wrist after performing a back bend in gymnastics. As she is sent for X-rays, her father speaks about the parenting lessons he took from his own adventurous father.
