Review

In a world before last year’s After the Screaming Stops rockumentary (showing at 11.30pm), the idea of Bros curating an evening of programming on BBC4 could only have existed as a surreal spoof by Reeves and Mortimer. Now it feels… almost normal.

The fulcrum tonight is a special at 10pm, in which the brothers will be “revealing the shows and artists that inspired them growing up”, as well as performing a few tunes. Sounds a bit Val Doonican to me.

So who will they pick? Will it descend into an argument about the relative merits of Danger Mouse and Trumpton? Surely Michael Jackson must figure, if not deemed too controversial. All we know at this stage is that the graveyard shift features the Goss bros introducing documentaries about Frank Sinatra (1am) and Robert Plant (2am). The key question is: will bass man Craig “Ken” Logan make an appearance?
