A year on from Chris Froome’s Tour de France third win in Paris, the first time a British rider has won the Tour de France three times, have the wheels come off Britain’s cycling love affair?
Team Sky’s management has been depressingly called into question following the revelations earlier this year when the racing outfit could not give a convincing account for a mystery medical package delivered to Bradley Wiggins in 2011. The team’s close connection with the Olympic British Cycling team has also become a source of controversy.

Summary
Coverage of stage one of the most prestigious race on the calendar, featuring a 14km individual time-trial in Dusseldorf, Germany. Presented by Gary Imlach, with analysis by Chris Boardman, commentary by Ned Boulting and David Millar, and reports from Daniel Friebe.
