Review

Surely not another TV show about partying students whose only worry is where the next beer is coming from? Well, fear not. Although Clique may leave you feeling cold to start with, persevere. The pay-off is worth it.

Best friends since childhood, Holly and Georgia are freshers at Edinburgh University. When Georgia finds herself wooed into a mysterious group of girls, it doesn’t take long for the thread of the pair’s friendship to unravel. From there a compelling drama with a dark underbelly emerges, created by former Skins writer Jess Brittain and also starring Sherlock’s Louise Brealey.

Episode one’s final scene in particular will have your heart in your mouth and leave you eager to binge-watch the rest.
